I learned to dive in 1994 for a PE class in college and became a diving professional in 2003. As a result of that initial introduction to scuba diving I became a marine biologist, and have since traveled the globe diving and working for the US federal government for both work and fun. I have dove in over 20 countries, all the US National Marine Sanctuaries, and most of the US National Parks. In addition to being an experienced technical diver, I am an instructor for PADI (MSDT-186022), NAUI (51179), Dept. of the Interior, and DAN. I also hold credentials as a hyperbaric chamber operator and an EMT. When not diving, I hike and spend an inordinate amount of time reading- mostly Dr. Seuss and theoretical physics.
