POKAI BAY REEF AND BEACH CLEAN UP

Join us for another Pokai Bay Clean up!
Our last clean up at PoBay was such a success, we wanted to revisit the site with help from our friends at Ocean Defenders Alliance (ODA).
When: Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 from 8AM-12PM
Where: Pokai Bay Beach Park
Who: Hosted by Aaron’s Dive Shop and Ocean Defenders Alliance and OPEN TO EVERYONE!
About: This is a land and ocean clean up. Land clean up is great for anyone and everyone (Beach, park & rock jetty). Ocean clean up should be for scuba divers and freedivers only.
Skill level needed: beginner
Sheers, gloves and mesh bags will be provided in limited supply. If you have your own, please bring it.
To bring: Please bring a reusable water bottle, sun protection (reef-safe sunscreen, sunshirt, hat, etc), scuba divers & freedivers MUST bring their own gear.
SCUBA DIVERS MUST BE CERTIFIED.
Scuba divers and beach combers collected a tarp FULL of debris. The debris included a mixed collection of one tire, a mattress, a lot of plastic bottles, about 400 yards of fishing line, 30 pounds of fishing weights, abandoned snorkel gear, as well as other assorted debris.
