Mahalo to Le Jardin Academy and CONGRATULATIONS to our 8 newest OPEN WATER DIVERS!
Last week our instructors worked with 8 students during their I-Term SCUBA course – one of many course offerings for Le Jardin Academy high school students. For I-Term, students spend a week without walls exploring their passions.
The students spent the week learning about ocean safety and ecology and even finished off the week with a Scuba Certification! We had a blast sharing our love of scuba and the ocean with a new generation of divers!

The I-Term SCUBA course is one of many course offerings for Le Jardin Academy high school students. This year’s I-Term or Impact Term is May 24-28. I-Term is one of the many examples of how LJA strives to provide students with an array of learning experiences that extend well beyond the classroom. For I-Term, students spend a week without walls exploring their passions.
SCUBA COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Students will receive formal SCUBA certification through Aaron’s Dive Shop of Kailua. In addition to valuable ocean safety experience, they will gain an appreciation for our ocean ecosystem and the rich biodiversity beneath the surface.
COURSE AIMS:
● Introduce students to basic SCUBA skills and provide formal SCUBA safety training
● Encourage students to think critically about ocean ecosystems and the role human activity plays in the sustainability of the aquatic world
● Provide PADI certification upon completion of coursework
