DRY SUIT DIVER

Do you get cold in the water?

Any interest in diving Kelp forests, ice diving, or long technical dives?

Dry suit diving teaches students the skills they need to safely utilize the ultimate thermal protection for diving in extreme conditions or just staying in the water for a very long time.

Students will learn about the various types of dry suits, undergarments, layering, thermal stress (both overheating and hypothermia), different buoyancy options, and safety procedures.

Course breakdown:

The PADI Dry Suit Diver course includes two open water dives conducted over one day. Dive one may not exceed 100 feet.

Prerequisites:

  • Must be certified open water divers or higher.
  • Must be at least 10 years old.

Materials Needed:

  • Students must have their own dry suit (or access to one- proper fit is a must!)
